There are many real-life stories of people who have overcome the odds. People who found love after multiple failed relationships, rebuilt their finances after losing everything, started a successful business late in life, or regained their health when they were told by the “experts” that they had very little time to live.
The people who succeeded in making these miraculous changes, were the people who were
open-minded and maintained a firm, unshakable belief that a positive outcome could be achieved. They were the people who did not put a time limit on their results, but each day, in every moment, they did what they knew they could do to improve their current situation. They held on to hope and faith. They were able to shut out not only the noise of the critics outside themselves, but the critic within as well. They looked for a way to do what others told them could not be
done.
Granted, not everyone obtains the outcome they want, even with an open mind and a belief that miracles do happen. But, I have never heard of anyone with a negative outlook, who was full of doubt and anger, who went on to overcame the odds and improve their health, wealth or life situation. If there is a way to “stack the deck” in our favor, our thoughts seem to be the key.
Be aware of the messages you send yourself
and others. It is imperative that we keep our minds open to all possibilities. There are unlimited avenues available to us when it comes to accumulating wealth, getting healthy, finding a life partner, raising our children, creating the perfect work for ourselves, etc… Yet, many times, we give too much credence to thoughts of limitation and we use language that supports lack. We have to stop arguing for the limitations we perceive in ourselves and others. Just
because it’s never been done before, does not mean it cannot be done!
The next time you catch yourself arguing for all the reasons why you can’t do something, stop. Remember that believing you “can” is more than half the battle. If you are feeling fearful, that may be a good sign that you are headed toward something that is going to bring growth. Often times, fear is not there to stop you, it’s there to test how much you really want whatever it is
you say you want.
Are you open to possibilities?
